Sarah Says Goodbye
Thanks to Lawless for providing this article.

AMC's Sarah Michelle Gellar is leaving her role as Kendall Hart and moving to California to seek new fame in films or TV. Sarah, who won a Daytime Emmy as best younger actress this year, asked to be released from her AMC contract and producers reluctantly agreed For the next two months, she said, she plans to fly back and forth from New York to Los Angeles to check out new job opportunities. "I'm going to move out there eventually, but probably not for good until at least August," she said. "The most important thing for me is to do work I enjoy, that I'm proud of and that I respect. If it takes time for me to find work, then it will, but I'm not going to jump on the first things that have been offered because it's too soon, and they're not what I'm interested in." How about another soap? "That's not what I want right now. If I wanted to do another soap there'd be no reason for me to leave AMC. "It's been an amazing 2½ years. But I want to spread my wings and do other things, something totally different."
